Altair WinProp: Why is the topography or clutter database not displayed in the 3D view?

Problem

A topo or clutter database cannot be viewed in the 3D view in ProMan.

 

Cause

The 3D view is disabled to limit the memory usage for large topo or clutter databases containing many pixels.

 

Remedy

Increase the database size limit. Any database with more pixels than the limit will not be displayed in the 3D view.

1. On the menu in ProMan, click Settings > Global Settings (Directories, Options, ...).
2. On the Default Settings dialog, on the 3D tab, in the Disable 3D view for topo/clutter databases with more than ... mega pixels field, increase the number of mega pixels.

 

 

  Tip: To view the database size in ProMan, click the Information button on the Edit toolbar.
