Problem in generating mid-surface to this model

Dear All,

I am tried to generate mid surface for this roll-cage model through Auto mid-surface option but it is not generating,though i generated mid surface manually through surface pair option there is a problem during trimming and extending of the surface in Altair Hypermesh 12.0. Kindly provide your guidelines

Hi Ramganesh,

Depending on the complexity of geometry and your input settings, you will need to cleanup the geometry after auto midsurfacing also,

Midsurfacing complex geometry is an intensive process and requires good knowledge and practise with all the tools of the Midsurfacing toolkit of HyperMesh

I suggest the midsurfacing section of the training center - http://training.altairuniversity.com/modeling/geometry-2/midsurface-pdf especially the advanced midsurfacing section,

Of course the help documentation has several topics and tutorials on Midsurfacing.
