In order to create a magnet oriented on X, Y or Z axis, you can use the model “Linear magnet described by Cartesian vector Br” available in Flux. Let consider a volume magnet that should be defined with Br=1T and orientation on Z axis. The procedure to follow is presented below:
1 | Create material MAGNET using the model « Linear magnet described by Cartesian vector Br » with Br_Z=1 |
---|---|
2 | Create magnetic region MAGNET defined with MAGNET material |
3 | Orient the material From menu Physics – Material – Orient material for volume region |
4 | Display magnet arrows in order to visualize the aimantation direction |
Note: in order to create magnet with negative orientation on Z, the material MAGNET should be defined with Br_Z = -1
