In order to use an I/O parameter or a geometric parameter in spatial quantity, you have to follow the next steps:

1. Create an I/O parameter or a geometric parameter for instance VariationParameter_1;
2. Create a spatial quantity SpatialParameter_1 where the expression field is defined MANUALLY as follow IO(VariationParameter_1)
3. Use SpatialParameter_1 in a region
4. Define a solving scenario using SpatialParameter_1.
