Problem with defining discrete variables in negative range (initial Value not included exception)

Hi guys,

I ran into a problem recently. Whenever trying to define a discrete variable in the negative range ... e.g. -10 to -1 with stepSize = 1 (which is: -10,-9,-8,-7,-6,-5,-4,-3,-2,-1), I get an exception with the data type Real. Is this a bug?

Hi Merula,

this is a bug, I have informed the HSt developers. As simple workaround you can use positive DV values and multiply with the values by -1 in the template file.

Was eager to know if this bug has been fixed?

I would like to use negative values for design variables but I keep getting the message 'initial value not included in values'.

Because of this, I am not able to go to the next step.

This issue is fixed in V 2019.0
