Altair Monarch Complete Does Not Start - Unhandled Exception Datawatch.DataPrep.UX.DataPrepStudioMain

Condition:

Unable to launch/start Monarch Complete due to the following entry found in the DWDataPrepStudio-<datetime>.log file.

 

Default location: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\DWDataPrepStudio-<datetime>.log file:

 

“The invocation of the constructor on type 'Datawatch.DataPrep.UX.DataPrepStudioMain' that matches the specified binding constraints threw an exception.”

 

Cause:

The C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Datawatch_Corporation{ProductName}{Version}\user.config has become corrupted.

Example: C:\Users\Briones\AppData\Local\Datawatch_Corporation\DWDataPrepStudio.exe_StrongName_3csysmsh4r4pz3eef50estigyalsljkf\15.3.0.20425\user.config)

 

Remedy:

1. Make a backup copy of C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Datawatch_Corporation{ProductName}{Version}\user.config.
2. Delete user.config file.
3. Relaunch Monarch Complete.
