Any way to rename anything in a list?

If I want to rename any item in a list, a geometry line for instance, how to do so? Can I name a bunch of lines at the same time to the same name?  The Name column shows "Lines" as the name, which really isn't that useful by itself.  This applies to any list.

You can edit any Name in a list

 

Line is not an editable field. You would need to have all the lines in the same Component or Subsystem for example to have a Name associated to them.
