Modify 2D mesh size without influencing loads

Hello,

 

I have created a 2D model (a simple rectangular panel) and meshed it with quadrilateral elements of size 5. Loads have also been applied to the edges of this panel.

Now I want to change the size of the elements to 2 : if I use 'automesh' again, all loads will disappear.

How can I modify the size of the elements without influencing the loads ?
