How to do a linear and adaptive hex mesh refinement?

Dear All,

 

I am modelling a ballistic event where a projectile is impacting test plates. I will like to ask how can I mesh have a linear and adaptive hex mesh refinement from 0.2mm to 1mm on the image below (with 0.2mm on the first inner circle at least)? Do I need to create a circle sketch on the CAD and split it by parts first too?

You can split your solid/surface directly within Hypermesh.
