***NEWBIE*** report design - append template - traps highlighted correct but in output first entry for 3 columns show (null)
Very new as in only started using Monarch this week. I have a audit text file and I have traps for 9 fields. I have all of them defined and in the top window of the report design I can verify that the correct data is highlighted correct for each one. In the lower window where you see the table of data 2 of the columns have (null) as the first entry and then the first entry is actually the second entry in that column. How do I get rid of the (null) and move all entries up ? Thanks in advance for any help.

Exactly the problem. Once I created those as Group Footer instead of Append it worked. This is Meditech Magic. I’m loving this powerful tool. Your video was very helpful. I plan to watch more. Thank you so much.0

Welcome to Monarch Jill!
It is likely that you need to change your trap from an append to a group footer trap. Group footers are for capturing information below the detail. I have a 20 min video that walks through all the template type and when to use them here in the Monarch Success Plan. It is under the tips and tricks section titled: Understanding Report Design Templates
I do have one question for you; What system (and module) generated this report? MEDITECH expanse, Cerner InVision, Cerner Millennium, EPIC?
