Connectors have long been used in the automotive industry to quickly attach parts together in an automated way. The need for automated connections is ever rising in the aerospace industry, as we move towards a higher production rate and more models for transportation (delivery drones of different size, urban mobility vehicles). Being able to quickly replace or update parts in a large assembly, and easily connect the parts back together is becoming more important.
