Radio Spectrum Management Training Course in March 2023 in Barcelona
Altair EmployeeOlov Carlsson, Senior Director – EM Solutions at Altair, is teaching a 3-day course in Radio Spectrum Management in collaboration with CEI. This topic is of increasing importance nowadays when the spectrum gets more crowded and relevant not only for telecom regulators (national authorities), broadcasting / cellular operators and defense forces, but also for other companies involved in radio planning and operation.
The Altair WRAP software covers a wide range of applications with focus on controlling radio spectrum assets for maximum utilization, including radio planning, interference, and coverage calculations, complementing Altair’s high frequency electromagnetic software tool Feko incl. WinProp. The focus of WRAP is on the above applications with the support of large simulation areas (like country wide frequency allocations), for which it can handle thousands of transmitters in such large areas through database connections.
