Identify and tag hotspots on contoured results

  1. Plot your results in Altair HyperView and launch the Hotspot Finder.
  2. Use preloaded criteria to search for hotspots.
  3. Hide entities that you do not want to see with hotspots.
  4. Use the Review table to see a list of hotspots that were detected.
  5. Take a tour through the detected hotspots using view modes.
  6. Use options on the Review table to create notes, measures, or sets with hotspots.
  7. Save hotspot results in a .csv file.

Customize Hotspot Query

You can customize hotspot settings and store multiple queries using the Hotspot Finder Options menu.

  • Change contained entities and adjust search settings
  • Select load cases and simulations and also optionally repeat your search
  • Change note settings and apply note colors. Note settings can be applied based on Rank or Hotspot value

Save Hotspot Queries and Compare Hotspots Across Models

You can save hotspot queries in .xml files to reuse later or import queries to use with other models. Hotspot queries can also be imported from config files or other windows in the same session.
