Did you know...

.... that Inspire can tell you when two parts are going to interfere with each other in a motion simulation?

Using the Proximity function in the Motion page, you can determine when parts

1. are separated from each other

2. are touching

3. are interfering with each other.

Simply click the proximity function icon and select the two parts you want monitored.  Run the analysis and then Inspire will display a color coded indicator advising as to the current status of the parts.

When the parts are separated you will see two blue dots at the location of minimum separation with a measurement of the minimum distance.

When the parts are in contact the dot will turn yellow showing the location of contact

When the parts interfere with each other a red dot will indicate the location of penetration/interference.

Best of all this function does not require the establishment of contacts between the parts so you can get your answers quickly without slowing the analysis down to analyze contacts.

Give this great function a try and stay tuned for the next in the Inspire - Did You Know? Series.
