Why should you attend the event?

After the success of ATCx DEM 2020, and many requests from industry and academia for us to host another event focused on DEM, we have once again arranged for ATCx DEM to take place as a virtual technology conference allowing everyone to attend.

It has been a great place to share industry experiences in using Altair EDEM to develop complex real-scale projects using DEM simulations.

In this new edition of the event, we are delighted to have Dr. Andrew Hobbs, head of simulation and modelling at Astec Industries, Inc delivering a keynote where he will talk about his experience using DEM simulation in industry for over 20 years, mainly applied to asphalt manufacturing equipment. Andrew has been an EDEM user since the first commercial version and has shared most of the journey with us.

After the keynote presentation, the agenda will break into 4 parallel tracks allowing attendees the opportunity to access talks from industry and academic leaders across many industrial sectors. We’ve got a fantastic line-up of speakers, including Tata Steel, SANY, Hyundai Motor Company, Kubota, ArcelorMittal, AbbVie, Novo Nordisk, Merck and many more!
(Full agenda available here).

During these talks you will learn how industry is adopting EDEM technology to optimize equipment and processes.

Then, I will share an update on new functionalities and applications in EDEM in 2022, including the new multi-GPU solver engines that have allowed us to increase performance to a whole new level.

After my presentation, there will be a second set of parallel tracks with various technical presentations by some of Altair’s expert team members. Please find below a copy of the full agenda. We will then end the conference with a live Q&A where I will be joined by a panel of experts. Make sure to join us to get all your questions answered and expand your skills with EDEM.

As ever, there are many talks to attend and enjoy. To ensure that you can access these presentations, please register without delay via the following event page: register here

See you there!
