Altair Compose Extension for AI Studio
Altair Compose team, pleased to announce "Altair Compose" extension for AI Studio, which brings synergy between both the products for ML/AI enthusiasts to perform a wide variety of math operations including linear algebra and matrix manipulations, statistics, differential equations, signal processing, control systems, polynomial fitting, optimization and perform engineering calculations on first principles with pre- and post-process data to import and manipulate data for physical testing and CAE.
The "Altair Compose" extension for AI Studio provides 7 operators (below) which lets you seamlessly execute Compose OML from within an AI Studio process
- Execute Compose - to be able to run oml scripts from within AI Studio.
- CAE Readers - to extract meta data and results from CAE/FEM and Test result files
- Get Metadata
- Get Requests
- Get Components
- Get Timesteps
- Read CAE
- Read CAE with Parameters.
Prerequisites:
- Windows and Linux
- Altair AI Studio 2024+
- Altair Compose 2024 or above installed and licensed. You can download it from Altair Marketplace
- Altair Units License.
- Custom operators >= 1.2.1

Setup compose installation path
- Set Compose installation directory in preferences.
Under Settings > Preferences > Altair Compose
- Click Test button to check if the connection is made successfully.
Notes on Altair Units
The "Altair Compose" extension runs the Altair Compose in batch mode. Compose check out the Altair units and release them once the execution is completed.
If you are using Altair AI Studio together with an Altair Units license, you should be able to use the same license configuration.
