Altair EDEM Simulation

Dear Altair Community,

When I run simulation altair EDEM turned of with the message "Not Responding". What will be the reason and what is the solution.

Hi Hasnain,

It sounds like there was a crash but we would need more information to determine the problem. Which version of EDEM are you using?

Have you run other simulations on the same hardware or is it just specific to one simulation file? Does this happen during simulation or on opening/setup of a simulation?

Are you running using CPU or GPU?

If the simulation stops during simulation it is most likely to be running out of memory, either HDD space or GPU memory.
