Hi,

 

 

 

Can stick-slip and slpb phenomena be modeled in hyperworks?

 

I attached the pictures.

 

Two plates are spot-welded. Vertical and horizontal load are harmonic excitation.

 

stick-slip phenomenon occurs due to the friction between two surfaces.

 

slap phenomenon will occur in this system when the amplitude of the relative displacement is larger than the natural gap distance between the two plates.

    1st figure is my problem and 2nd figure is a simple picture of the slap phenomenon.
