can't create 3d mesh

Hello everyone I wanted to study this bracket model imported via a step file. Fixed the geometry, I started with a 2d tria mesh. I checked the free edges, equivalence, dubious connections and there are no errors. The volume is closed. Unfortunately, however, I cannot create a 3D mesh: the program does not report errors but simply ends the process with the "Ready" signal without creating the 3D mesh. Could you kindly tell me where I'm going wrong?

    Hello TheREd,

Your mesh seems to have some unconnected regions, which are causing the mesh failing. You get these purple lines right after the failure occurs.

Reviewing element quality, that are some pretty skewed elements:

The 2D mesh must have acceptable quality criteria before 3D meshing. You can find the acceptable threshold in the help: CTRIA3 Element Checks and Default Bound Values (altair.com)
