Auto-define not working for PDFs in Monarch?
I am loading several PDFs of a similar format/layout into Monarch, but the auto-define (or any other trapping function) does not work on a few of these documents (and I am unable to click the "Accept" button to move forward and clean the data). I checked if these files had been corrupted and even redownloaded them, but the files themselves seemed fine. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue so I can use auto-define/trapping on all of my documents?
Thank you!

Hi Morgan!
How are you? This is Baba, I believe we met a few weeks ago on the introductory call to Customer Success. I don't recommend using Auto-define, as it doesn't always work depending upon the document.
Have you seen some of the training videos in the community? Would you like me to help you take a look at the document over a quick 15-30mins call?
Here's content in the community to help you get off to a great start:

Hi Baba!
I am doing great, how are you? Thank you for your prompt response – my apologies for the lateness of mine. Thank you for the tip and the resources - I have been watching some of the videos and they seem to be quite helpful. I have also made some progress trying out manual traps instead of the auto-defines. If I encounter an issue where I do need to meet with you, I will let you know.
Thank you so much, and have a great evening!

Hi @Morgan Fink ,
A possibility of why you are unable to use the Auto-Define or other trapping function even though the PDF document may be similar layout/format it could be the PDF is an IMAGE-PDF and not a TEXT PDF. To determine if the PDF is an Image vs. Text PDF you can highlight and copy/paste the content into Notepad then you know if you are dealing with "TEXT- PDF", but if it is something else then it could be Image-PDF. I did check this issue, and the PDFs did not seem to be image PDFs. However I was able to resolve the issue by using custom traps instead of auto-define. Thank you for the follow-up!
