Combination of 2d and 3d mesh

Hi,

i'm a beginner of hypermesh.

I would like to study a 3d component to see the max static stress.

i usually use NX to perform this type of analysis, but now i want to use hypermesh.

In the critical areas, i would like to use 2d mesh with size 1 mm and than creat a 3d mesh on all over the component with size 3 mm.

Is it possible? If yes, how?

In nx we use the command mesh control for example.
