Hi there,
i am using HyperStudy with optistruct solver to do an optimization. Is there a possibility to change the number of cpu´s used by the solver?
thanksThomas
Hi Thomas,
while doing your study, in the Define Model step, we can type in solver run options into the Solver Input Arguments field. For OptiStruct, this field might contain $file followed by the run option
Since we need -cpu or -proc or -nproc or -ncpu or -nt to specify the number of cores for an smp solution, the solver argument field could read $file -ncpu 4 for example.
Please try with the above and let us know what you find.
Hi, is there a similar way of doing it with RADIOSS? do you have any example on how to type the -nt command into the Solver Input Arguments?
THanks
Hi,
You can specify the number of cores in the RADIOSS solver run manager. Please go through the 'Run Options in RADIOSS' in the Help Menu.
