Ground spring creation

I am looking for webinars or videos on the creation of ground springs and 2 -node springs. Specificially setting up springs in hypermesh 12.0 for static solving in abaqus. Looking to use with contacts and rigid surfaces with spring deflection defined in 1 axis.

Hi Greg,

If you are referring to spring between node and ground then please check SPRING1. Go to 1D panel-->masses-->element type SPRING1 to create such a spring.

to create SPRING between two nodes, SPRING2 maybe useful for you. Go to 1D panel-->Springs--> element type SPRING2 to create spring between two nodes.
