Hi,

I have a part which consists of two different material layers. I am trying to form those two different sheets in one forming process. They consist of different materials (e.g. steel and aluminum). I modelled the two layers with two shell components. Is there an option to tie this surfaces together as can be done in FEA modelling as a TIE. Because if i don´t they are actually twisting and not sticking together!

Furthermore there was already a discussion about draping of Composites? Is there already a new release out?

best regards and thanks for your help in advance
Thomas

Yes it is possible to run HF forming with multiple blanks. there are two options

    1. Run it a layered blank without any contact between the 2 blank
    2. Run it with Type 2 contacts as welded blank..

This cannot be run in HF one step. This has to be run in the HF incremental profile
