Print Postscript
Hello everybody,
it appears to me that the print to postscript functions has been removed from HyperMesh.
In the users guide it still appears:
http://www.altairhyperworks.com/hwhelp/Altair/hw12.0/help/hm/hmbat.htm?customization_panels.htm
However, the 'postscript' subpanel doesnt exist under option in my HyperMesh installation (Vers. 12.0)
And the shortcuts ctrl+F3 or ctrl+F4 dont work either anymore.
The question is, whether it is my HyperMesh installation that is missing this functions or has it really been removed.
I remember back in the day when I was working with HyperMesh 10.0 I was using it.
Regards
Ralf

Hi Ralf,
The post script panel is now called graphics files, just press o in the keyboard and go to graphics files or go to preferences pull down and then to graphics files.
ctrl+F3 or ctrl+F4 do not exist anymore
ctrl+F2 creates a bmp file and ctrl+F6 creates a jpeg.
Please see latest shortcuts here http://www.altairuniversity.com/2011/06/10/hyperworks-keyboard-shortcuts/
You can also use the image capture toolbar from view > toolbars > hw > image capture

You can do this easily with freeware, see the attached video that uses a free ware called pdf creator. (rename the video attached as jpg below to wmv)
The video is only for demonstration, please check with pdf creator about its licensing and use. we cannot be responsible for external software and its effects. http://www.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator
If you make the pdfcreator for example the default printer, then you can use the keyboard shortcut of ctrl + f3 or ctrl + f1 to print from HyperView.
Note while saving you can choose the file format type to .eps, not doing so will save in the default pdf format.

Yes, I love 'postscript' capture function with old release of HW. But with latest release, this nice function was deleted /emoticons/default_sad.png' alt=':(' srcset='/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>
