tetra mesh match existing mesh

what does this match existing mesh mean?if I am meshing the component by checking the box in front of it,In model browser one more component name 'temp 2d-for tetra' is created. and please also ans. if I don't have any mesh in component which meshing it takes?(as I am assuming any mesh present in component will be taken as base to mesh the other component).

    Syed,

    this allows HyperMesh match the tetra elements to match with existing mesh (if available)
