DC Load needs to be connected across a machine operated in generator mode through a rectifier unit

Hi,

I am trying to simulate a outer rotor PMSM in generating mode.

Is it possible to perform this above simulation in Flux by connecting an uncontrolled 3-phase full-wave rectifier with a DC load across the generator output?

    Hi,

Diode component Is available in the electrical circuit of Flux in transient magnetic application, so yes you can create a diode bridge connected to the generator.

For the load, you can use a RL load, or you can also if you wants to represent a DC load used a voltage source with a DC value.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards.
