It seems that you have the options from the entity state browser. Did you check that you are in the right browser (model)?

Just up there showing the tabs (which you have quite a few) like utility, mask etc. Search for model and click it once.

A quick way to solve the issue would be to delete the hwsettings located usually in your Documents folder.

    That is right,

you are in the entity state browser (used to control the export/active state of entities) , you need to be in the model browser to do renaming and other such operations.

Go to View > model browser (make sure there is a check mark against model browser) and uncheck all browsers you do not need now.

click on the word model in the same line as utility , mask etc and you should be in the model browser.

If you still have issues delete the settings files

To delete settings files locate your working directory by right click on hm icon > properties > start in field (usually my documents)

In this location delete the hmsettings.tcl, hmmenu.set and command.cmf

    Thanks and regards
