is there any way i can efficiently trim the larger pipe to create the filler surface as shown in pics .
procedure i have used is i have trimmed the larger diameter pipe(blue pipe) with the node to line trim command. but after doing that i am not able to create the filler surface.

    Hi Sagar,

Perhaps you can make sure that the smaller pipes are extended into the larger pipe completely, that is the smaller pipes are completely penetrating the larger pipe, and then trim with lines.

Also when creating the filler surface, you can try unchecking auto create and keep tangency, select the lines yourself and then click create.

If certain geometry editing is not possible for you or your geometry, you can always mesh and repair/edit the mesh at these locations using the mesh editing tools, It is important to remember geometry is only to aid us in creating the elements, the finite element mesh that best approximates the shape of the component in real life is our goal in preprocessing.
