unit problem

Hi everyone,

need some help with HyperMesh.
While importing geometry from ProE, HyperMesh just loads the numbers, not the units or maybe ProE just contains numers and no units. But this is unimportant for me.

Important is, how to change the units/length ...
Because during the pre-process from ProE (unit: mm) --> HyperMesh (unit:??) --> AcuConsole (unit: conform to HyperMesh) it appears that e.g. the length 770mm (ProE) is 770m in AcuConsole.

Is it possible to change the number+units generally for importing from ProE? Or do I have to change it manually each time? And what is the quickest way to change this unit-correlation?

Hi,

You can scale the geometry while importing/exporting from HyperMesh.

Use import options to scale the geometry while importing or the best way is export a geometry with export options set to desired unit system.
