How is the failure defined in MAT169 adhesive material card?

Hello,

I am working on a project which involves connection between two metals using adhesives. Material card is MAT169.

From the LS Dyna manual, I understood that failure is defined in terms of energy in shear and tension, but not able to corelate with deleted elements.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this topic?

This seems more of a solver question? You may be better asking in LS-DYNA forums? Unless you have some issue to enter the fields data in HyperMesh?
