how to do range estimation for an electric vehicle accurately using altair activate and related softwares?
Hi, greetings.
I am currently working on an electric 2 wheeler . I saw switch mobility range estimation video using altair activate.
I want to do range estimation for the bike.
I need to know what are the required inputs, parameters, procedure and softwares.
please let me know in a detailed way.

Hi Aravind,
Please check this presentation. You might get some idea about it. Details might be proprietary to Switch - so, you might not be able to obtain them. But you can definitely get the direction in which you can start working.

Hi Rajiv,
does altair have any digital twin models tutorials in electric vehicle or some small models done in activate.
It would be helpful.
I have gone through that presentation previously, but its has very little information.
Let me know if you have any sources on this.
Thankyou,
Aravind

Hi Aravind - I need to understand more, since the phrase 'Digital Twin' has several meanings based on the context in which it is used.
Can you please drop an email to my id: rajiv.dixit@altair.com? We can take this offline where I might be able to help you with specific information.Btw, please check this: https://altair.com/resource/disrupting-the-battery-development-process-w-altair-digital-twin?lang=en

Hi Aravind,
How are you? Are you still interested in learning more about modeling an electric vehicle in Twin Activate? Sorry for the late reply.
Altair is developing a battery library for Twin Activate to help build battery packs (one of the challenges of building this type of model) that includes several examples including a BEV powertrain which would have similar modeling goals to what you saw in the Switch Mobility example. See attached video for some highlights. If you are interested, I recommend to reach out to your local Altair representative and we can follow-up more( you can ask to please get in contact with me, I'm the main author of this library).
Best regards,
