how to identify the localised stresses?

What do you mean by localised stresses? how to identify the localised stresses? when the mounting bracket is fixing with gussets four sides, The maximum stresses are occured at fixing locations and gussets corners. can i neglect the corner stresses at gussets?

one of the main aspects of FEA is to understand what kind of simplifications are present in your model, and how do they actually correlate to your real world part.

We have some general kind of stress locations where usually you won't rely on FEA only, because it is a simplified representation of real life. In example, bolt washers with rigid elements, which stiffen the washer, thus the first layer of the washer could be negleted.

In sharp corners of our model, in general we have a 90 degree, sharp corner, which in reallity probably has some degree of fillet or chanfer. Remember that this kind of sharp corners creates singularities, and stresses could go to infinite as you refine your mesh.

Another example is weldings. Usually we do not take into account direct stress values in the weld, but rather use some exptrapolation, such as volvo method/hot spot stress to evaluate stresses at the toe.

So long history-short, it really depends on how is your model, and how well it represents your physical parts.
