Getting Error with Insert New Media

Question

Hello,

I have downloaded altair activate 2022.2 but now I have a window pop demanding to insert new Media and to please insert Disk1 or select Browse to locate it manually and I have no idea what that means or what to do. I checked and I have enough disc space for altair so it's not a storage issue. Anybody encounter this issue before or know what insert new media means ?

Hi Philippe,

I agree with Chayan, the installer file seems to be corrupt.

Here are some additional notes and questions from our 'master of installers' Paul:

* However, I've never seen a message precisely like that…  Also, corrupted installers usually generate errors much earlier, during or right after decompression.  So let's investigate.
 * Any chance you're running out of space on the system disk or TEMP directory?
 * Is the home directory local or remote?
 * Can you check in the Task Manager, is the main installer issuing the error, or is one of the common sub-installers running?
 
If you don't succeed with a new download, please check the above list.

Hi Philippe,

I have seen this happen when the download is corrupt. Pls download again, and use the checksum to check the integrity of the download.
