Hi,
You can apply total load on a face in 2 ways:
- Load magnitude which you specify is applied to each node. So, if there are 50 nodes on a face and you apply 100 N, then 100 N is applied on each node making it a total of 5000 N on the whole face. So, the applied load should be total load divided by the number of nodes.
- Other way of applying total load is by creating RBE3 element. Connect all the nodes on the face to RBE3 element and apply total load directly to RBE3. This way, it will distribute the total load among each node by itself.

Thank you for your reply. I preffer the first option, and I want to know if I need to count the total number of nodes on the surface.
On the other hand, how can I create the RBE3 element?

You can count nodes (and all other elements) by Tools --> count --> ...
And creating a rbe3-element by 1D --> rbe3 --> ...
I think creating a rbe3-element and introducing the force over the centre node is the recommend version.
