Total load definition on surface

Hello friends,

 

I need to apply a load on a surface. I know the value of the total load to be distributed. Do you know a way to define that total load? I don´t want to calculate the area of the surface and apply the equivalent pressure. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

 

You can use RBE3 element by connecting it to all the nodes on the surface.

By doing so, a load applied on RBE3 element distributes the load among all the nodes on the surface equally.

 

For example: Suppose, your RBE3 element is connected to 10 nodes.

And, If you apply 10 N on RBE3. Then, 1 N is applied on all 10 nodes.
