1D and 2D model
Hello:
I want to simulate a bus structure, considering not only the structure but also the shell. I have modeled the chassis with 1D elements (beams), and the bodywork with 2D elements (shells). I want to know how I could model the connection between 1D and 2D elements in my model. Thanks in advance.

Altair EmployeeOr you can just make sure the nodes are equivalenced between the shells and the beams... That should work for linear structural solvers.
What Altair Solution are you using to solve your model.
If Radioss, a simple way is to use /INTER/TYPE2 to tie the nodes of the beams to the shell.
