How to keep the node numbering of stl file

Hi all,

I imported a .stl file in hypermesh2021.2. For some reason hypermesh gives the nodes different numbers than they have in the original .stl file. Does anyone know how hypermesh renumbers the nodes and if it is possible to keep the same numbering as the .stl file?

Any help would be highly appreciated.

    I don't believe stl files have a concept of nodes or node numbering. They are geometry concepts for the facets.
