Geometry List keep expanding

Hi, 

I do a lot of surface modelling and every time I alter a surface the geometry surface menu keeps expanding. Is there somewhere I can switch this off? 

I like to have the sub section in the model browser, but I would like to switch off automatic expansion some how. I looked in the Config Browser but it was not obvious.

That list will always update, but you can change the behavior and not have all of them show in a big list in the model browser. You go to file -> preferences 

This box should be checked for you. Deselect the box, and you will not have a long list of surfaces in the model browser.
