Hi,

I am trying to scale a models size up in the y direction only. When I use the scale function it allows me to decrease the size but not increase. I used 0.8 factor in the Y direction and it decrease by 20 %, but when I use 1.2 it still decreases and does not increase. Is this correct?

I show the process below where I only scale in the Y direction of the meshed components. May I say the decreased size scaling work beautifully, but I cant increase the depth in Y.

Thank you in advance.

I believe I have identified what is causing your issues. The dialog from the scale tool can be seen below.

You can see that the +/- button highlighted. This means that minus scaling is activated. This will cause numbers greater than 1 to decrease the size of the model, and numbers less than 1 will cause the model to increase in size example to follow.

    Normal

0.8 with minus scaling active, notice the increase in size

1.2 with minus scaling active, notice the decrease in size

    Hope this helps
