I have the same condition where I need to define the contact condition between two SPH objects and TYPE7 does not work and I do not know how to solve it.
Please let me know if I managed to resolve this issue.

There is no need to define the contact between different SPH parts, as contact is always enforced through particle interactions. In other words, one particle always "sees" the other. Could you please elaborate on why it is not behaving as you expect?
