Altair EDEM simulator problem : it crashes

I downloaded Altair EDEM today and made example by watching "Mixing in Tablet Coater with Altair EDEM".
But, when I press simulator button, it suddenly stop without any error message.

Hi,

I believe this maybe an issue with the 2021.2 classroom version.  Can you try the 2021.1 version and this should run OK.  We are also going to be shortly releasing the 2022 version which should also have this issue resolved.

You can find the 2021.1 version via the marketplace > search for EDEM > select Download > Choose 2021.1 from Suite Version:

I checked your files and saw you set the loop time of the rotation motion as equal to zero, you should try to use a non-zero value for that.

Do you mean that I should change "loop every" value?
It doesn't work.

I managed to get it running after unticking the loop every X time checkbox. You could try this and if it does not work, I would recommend trying what Stephen Cole commented below. I hope that this helps.

Is this still an issue on the 2022 version? I am having the same issue of the software just closing when trying to use simulator

Hi Suruthi, the issue is still with 2022, it should be fixed in EDEM 2022.2.

Thanks for your reply. How do I get EDEM 2022.2 with a student license? I seem to only be able to download EDEM2022.

Hi Suruthi, 2022.2 is currently in development.  The target release is the start of December.
