Exporting mesh with reference geometry to Abaqus

Goodmorning,

when I export my mesh from Hypeworks to Abaqus I'm only able to export it as an input file (.inp). By doing that, I can't export also the reference geometries associated with the mesh.

Is there a way to export also these references?

Hello,

They Hypermesh database file (.hm) is a binary file that contains both CAD and FE. 

If you are trying to export the model for Abaqus the solver, you only need the inp file as that is all the solver can read. If you are trying to open it in Abaqus CAE pre-preprocessor, that would be a question for them.

But if it works like Hypermesh, there is not way to read that. You would need to separate the inp file and CAD and bring them in separately .
