Version compatibility

Hi,

the version in school ist 2019 and I'd like to open a model drawn in a higher newer version in ls-dyna mode,hm format,is there any way to solve this backward compatibility issue?

And, student verision, it doesn't offer the ls-dyna format? There r only 3 options in User Profiles.

Hi

Yes, there is not back compatibility of hm files with HyperWorks versions, namely, HyperWorks files generated in the newer version will not open in older versions.

What you may do is export the lsdyna file, that is an ASCII format, and load in the version of HyperWorks you need to use.

 

And about the student edition, yes, the preprocessor only allows the profiles for Radioss and OptiStruct.
