How to remove a single free edge

Hello Jacobier,
is there any chance you can get access to version 2022.2.? From this version, we re-designed the CAD tools for fixing free edge issues:
Prior to 2022.2, you can use the Sticth feature in the new interface, or Geom -> Edge Edit -> Equivalence in the classic interface. You may need to increase the Clean-up tolerance, but make sure ot to define a too large value
Hope this helps,
Michael

I want to try the Hyperworks UI and see whether it will work. In Free edges tap, I have selected all the elements I need to check. How shall I confirm?

Hello Jacobier,
my bad, I pointed you to the tools for CAD free edgees. For mesh free edges, from the Free Egdes tool, what you will get access too is a review of the free edges. When you have free edges, that frequently means some of your nodes are not connecyted together even if they look the same. You can use Preview Equivalence in the same panel to find these nodes, then equivalence for merging them together. Also you ca check or Duplicate elements (F10 shortcut).
Hope this helps,
Best Regards,
Michael

I am sorry. But my question is how to check the edges after I have selected elements I want.
In the Hyperwork interface. There is no button to confirm (Solid black arrow). I was stuck there. Besides, where can I find help document for the Hyperwork UI? (not the older Hypermesh UI)

Hello Jacobier,
you need to go to Validate ribbon -> Free edges. Then you will get the same panel than in legacy interface, as it will be migrated in 2023 only.
What kind off help are you looking for? We authored a blog for centralizing all assets of interest for starting to use the new interface:
It includes a pdf at the bottom of the article with comparison of basic operations (selection, show/hide, ...) between legacy and new interface.
Then if it comes to geometry, mesh and model set up, we re-designed not only the interface but also the workflow, so we recommend to follow in HyperMesh learning plan (https://learn.altair.com/local/altair_learning_plan/plan_overview.php?id=2) the modules you can be interested in, either through e-learning or virtual led trainings.
Last, we aalready published more than 250 videos showing capabilities of the new interface in our Altair How-To Youtube channel:

Hope this helps,
Regards,
Michael
