Regarding Set Segments Option in Hypermesh 2019

Hi All,

I was performing OS-T: 1385 Heat Transfer Analysis on Piston Rings using the Thermal Contact tutorial available on the Altair Learning Website on my Hypermesh 2019 in Opstitruct profile. When creating Contact Surfaces Between the Rings, it was said to - In the Model Browser, right-click and select Create > Set Segment

However, in my case, in the 2019 version, I couldn't find the set segment option in my Model Browser. Can anyone help me find that option, or is there any alternative?

I have attached the screenshot of the tutorial and my hypermesh window issue.

Hi Ayush,

We recommend using the most recent version of HyperMesh, which offers user-friendly features and a simplified workflow for thermal analysis setup. The help document you are referring to is for version 2021.2, but you are currently using version 2019. In the version you are working with, you can create element sets for contact using the CONTACT SURFACE option.
