I have opened a pdf file in Monarch Classic and while I see the number of pages, I see no data. What could cause this?

Hi Margaret,

Monarch Classic relies on textual input Probably what is happening is that your pdf file contains only images of the text, which leaves Monarch nothing to work with.

HI @Margaret P ,

If you OPEN the PDF document and copy & paste the text into NotePad/Word document and if nothing is visible then you will know it is an "image" PDF. You will need to first OCR to a "TEXT" PDF or seek to see if the original source can be saved as a 'TRUE TEXT PDF'.
