I need help for topology Optimization

Hello everyone,

i am student and completely new to Altair Inspire. I have a problem with the Topology Optimization of a facade bracket,

every time when i try to partition the bracket and then want to run the topology optimization there is an error which tell me to contact the support.

Please can anyone shows me how this works ? Thank you.

Can you upload your inspire model. I do see you uploaded the original step file, but it doesnt have the design space and the boundary conditions.

hi there, i did separate the bracket into 2 parts to make it less complicated for the optimization but it still does not work.

Is there a reason why those non design space-4 cyclinders are so thin.

You might observe meshing issues, because the non design cylinder thickness is very thin compared to rest of the model. If you still want to have it as it is, there are ways to override mesh parameters in property editor for mesh & optimization options.

The best option however is to increase thickness somewhat higher. Topology is a concept design so you have freedom to do these changes and observe the results.

Here i added imageof how i changed the thickness by using pull and boolean operation.

Here is the optimization result.

Its pretty easy to repeat these steps. Hope this helps.
