Hello everyone,

I am currently having issues related to export and import file.

I unfortunately had meshed a model in Optistruct user-interface, and i do not know the way to change element type among 2 kinds of divergent interfaces.

Then, i failed to import .cdb file into Ansys WB 2019.2.

So, the questions are how could i solve both of those issues?

Many thanks.

    Hi

If I understood correctly you prepared your model within the OptiStruct UI and want to have it set for Ansys.

One way to achieve that is converting the model from OS to Ansys using the conversion tool within HyperMesh.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello Mr. Nakano,

    Your answer was great.

To be honest, i am currently not using HW 2020 version. Actually, it is 2017 one.

So, how could i convert mesh in 2017 ver interface?

    Thanks.

    Hi

In that case, you will find the convert option in the main drop down menu: 'Tools > convert > OptiStruct >Ansys'
