Hi, I need to insert a 1D element  in my model and it has to support forces and bending moments, but it can not support torsional moment. I'm not sure if the CBUSH element is the adequate element to insert since my necessities. So I'm asking if it is ok if I use a CBUSH or I have to put into an element such as a CBAR. Furthermore I excluded from my choice a CROD since I recall it doesn't support bending moments, was it the right decision?

Thanks

You could use cbar/cbeam and use the pin flags to release the torsional dof of your bar elements (dof 4). By doing this, you will have acial and bending, but no torsional stiffness.

Hi Adriano, thanks for your answer, I'll do that and see if it works.
